The Valerian team enjoyed their evening at Mile High Flood District’s Reception on the River in support of the Greenway Foundation. The highlight of the evening was introducing the new Grassroots Leadership Opportunities (GLO) Ambassador Program. This program employs youth consultants who have done previous community outreach work to recruit new youth ambassadors for ongoing public works projects. The purpose of this ambassador program is to ensure that the local community is truly engaged in the planning process and can advocate for their neighborhood’s priorities. The Five Points Youth Ambassadors and No Name Youth Ambassadors set the precedent for this program to be an important implementation tool when it comes to community engagement.
