Salida Parks and Recreation has begun improvements in Centennial Park, located adjacent to the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center. These include a 14,000 SF skatepark that will begin construction this November.  Grindline Skateparks designed the world class, high altitude facility and collaborated with the Friends of Salida Skateparks to solicit their feedback as well as the community’s for the park design. Valerian worked with Grindline, Salida Parks, and Martin/Martin to provide site planning for the skatepark, a new park walkway, and entry plaza.  Valerian and the team worked closely with Salida Parks to locate the skatepark while considering the existing stand of trees and future improvements outlined in the City of Salida Parks and Recreation Open Space and Trail Master Plan.
